My wood turning originally started out as an enjoyable hobby in 1988. I picked it up very quickly and after my first commisions I soon began to realise that this was something that could be turned into a successful full time business. I then progressed to a business unit in Wellington, Somerset, and steadily built up the business offering wood-turned components, copies, repairs and a design service for private clients, furniture makers, builders, joiners, architects and antique dealers. I also produce bespoke, made to order wooden basins, furniture, lamps, tables and bookcases. I have since become a member of the British Woodturners Association which represents a body of commercial woodturners that keep the trade supplied with components and promotes the continuing craftsmanship and skill of its members.

All the work is carried out by myself to my own exacting standards so you can be sure your getting high quality, high definition work, whether it’s one of a kind or a large number of items. I take great pride in my work and the good old fashioned personal service that I offer.

I can work from turned examples, sketches, blueprints or photographs to provide you with crisp turning with attention paid to the finest details. A full design service is also available.

The copy lathe works up to a maximum of 1300mm length x 64mm square with steady. The hand turning lathe is for up to a maximum of 3.3m length x 500mm diameter (and for facework 1200mm Diameter).
